Bhojpur Mahila Kala Kendra (BMKK) is a pioneering NGO established in 1993 by a group of socially committed women in the Bhojpur, Madhubani and Darbhanga districts of Bihar, India. As a non-profit organisation, BMKK is registered under the Societies Registration Act (2000) and the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (2010).
We fund our charitable programmes through grants from national and international donors, community contributions, and individual donations — and we are governed by the same women whose lives our programmes are built around.
To establish a just society in which no one remains hungry, unemployed, illiterate, or exploited. We work towards the holistic development of women and other marginalised sections of society to ensure justice, economic growth, and self-reliance.
We envision a progressive, creative, and equitable society rooted in equality and mutual support. BMKK aims to organise, educate, and empower rural communities, promoting development as a liberating force for sustainable livelihoods and social justice.

BMKK operates mainly in Bhojpur district, Bihar — focusing on blocks and villages with a significant population of women artisans and communities in need of support, alongside programmes in Madhubani, Darbhanga and Patna districts.
